recent reads

So, lately I've been reading a lot more, thanks to my sweet husband buying me a kindle a few months ago. It makes books so much cheaper, not to mention more portable than ever.  Here is a short summary of the last 3 books I have read and what I thought: 1. Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery - loved it! I've always wanted to read the Anne series, but I've never managed to get my hands on a copy. Our last library didn't have it (can you believe it?) and I haven't found it in a bookstore for a reasonable price. Classics can be so pricey sometimes. Thanks to my kindle, I was able to read it for just 50 cents. Happy day! I honestly think the dialogue was the most intriguing part of this novel. Anne's descriptions of life were so captivating and despite being a dreamer and a romantic, she is surprisingly realistic at times. All the "scrapes" she gets into make for a humorous and entertaining story, while also bringing back memories of growing up. Fo...
